Being a caregiver in any capacity can be challenging, exhausting and unpredictable, often leading to feelings of helplessness and burnout. Witnessing a loved one struggle and feeling stuck or hopeless as you continue to support your loved one, only amplifies burnout. This presentation will focus on skills and strategies intended to support you to do different, instead of doing more, in the caregiving role. This presentation will also offer strategies to address the intense emotions that come with caregiving and burnout for both you and your loved ones.

About the Presenter:
Cassandra Millen is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with nearly 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. Cassandra has worked in a variety of sectors including providing counselling and therapy services including community health, hospital settings, child welfare, youth justice, and now owns her own private practice and co-owns Napanee Psychotherapy. Cassandra is a certified Emotion Focused Family Therapist who specializes in supporting caregivers of loved ones as well as individuals struggling with physical and mental health. She is also a Certified Trauma Therapist and specializes in working with eating disorders.
