Artist Bio
Crafting by hand has been a part of Marika’s life ever since she can remember. A native of Hungary, she grew up with the love of embroidery and hand stitching which she began to incorporate into her felted pieces. Letting the needle meander between the layers of wool, letting the embroidery floss be inspired by the textures and colours of the felted wool is a magical process that engages the body, mind and heart all at the same time. She is most drawn to felting wearable items such as hats, mitts and bags that exude the warmth and magic of handcrafting.
